“Approximately a decade ago, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) put their trust in our vision that Canada could build a microsatellite including reaction wheels using carefully selected commercial parts to create a cost-effective platform for scientific investigations and technology demonstrations. CSA believed in us. We could not afford to fail," explains David Cooper, President and CEO, MSCI. From this vision, MSCI has since led industry, university, scientific and government partners to produce the MOST microsatellite. What began with a modest one-year mission, MOST has been in orbit now since 2003, and continues to produce astonishing global-leading astronomy results about the nature of distant stars and the potential for life on other planets. In addition to operational and scientific uses, MSCI now equips commercial constellations with our world renowned reaction wheels. Read more about our specific applications:
With flight heritage that has surpassed expectation, MSCI’s innovative reaction wheel technology, will continue to evolve, providing cost-effective solutions not only for the civil and military sectors but cost-effective applications and solutions for the commercial sector as well.
